At HTC I worked on the Polygon Streaming technology. It enabled HTC’s in house online game platform to stream very high detail 3D models to low end hardware. My responsibility was the backend written in C++ that takes very high polygon count 3D models and optimizes and clusters them to be ready for streaming to end users.
When I joined Sense of Space it was still a very small startup. We were building a video editor for 3D volumetric video. Later on we shifted focus and used our extensive knowledge of 3D geometry data processing to build a geometry data streaming system. I worked on designing this system until we got acquired by HTC.
I was able to start my career at Saab Technologies working for their maritime traffic control division. We were building the software that traffic controllers use in harbors to oversee the safe navigation of ships around the harbor. In my time at Saab I mostly focused on performance optimization of the system.
